SeascapeThis scene is along the Dingle Peninsula on the west coast of Ireland near the Ring of Kerry near Fahan. Ancient Celts from the Iron Age settled over 4000 years ago on this peninsula, building corbelled stone ‘bee hive huts’ or ‘clochåns’ as their homes. These ancient stone habitations were built with no mortar and have no smoke hole or windows, just an entry; and many remain standing today. This small Gaelic community with ancient stone walls still stand s, overlooking the Blasket Islands and the famous Irish mist. |
